Each year Business & Professional Women of Greater Moncton awards bursaries and grants from four different categories. Due to the annual success of the Phenomenal Women Award, we have been able to award over $48,000 in bursaries and grants since 2013.

Employability Grant

The Employability Grant awards grants of up to $1,000 to women who wish to improve their employability and earning potential. This grant has been established to assist women who face financial and various other barriers to employment. Previous applicants have used funds granted to assist with child care costs while attending training, purchase appropriate work wear, or moving expenses to be closer to work.

Elaine Burke-Gauvin Memorial Bursary

The Elaine Burke-Gauvin Memorial Bursary is a $1,000 bursary awarded on an annual basis to a woman pursuing post-secondary education in an effort to improve her life. Special consideration is given to mature students, single parents, someone demonstrating financial needs, engaged in community and volunteerism and women intending to study in the Human Resources field.

H. Dell McAuley Memorial Bursary

The H. Dell McAuley Memorial Bursary is a $1,000 bursary presented annually to a female high school graduate in the Greater Moncton area who will attend post-secondary education institute in the fall, who demonstrated financial need, good academic records and community involvement.

In addition to the excellent exposure to various economic development organizations, government agencies and business people, your sponsorship will help create a high profile event that will offer visibility, recognition and valuable networking opportunities for local business women.

EmpowerHER Grant – Empowering the Next Generation of Women Entrepreneurs

The purpose of this grant is to empower and support aspiring women entrepreneurs who have been in business for five years or less. We aim to provide a boost to early-stage ventures led by women, enabling them to thrive in today’s dynamic and competitive business landscape.
